CRZVD, German Association of Criollo horse breeders

The association CRZVD (CRIOLLO-Zuchtverband Deutschland e.V.) was created in 1994. Its social purpose is the expansion of pure blood Criollo horse breeding in Germany. To this end, the CRZVD accompanies and assists the breeder/members of the association.

Always vigilant, the association promotes the development of the breed by enforcing the criteria and caracteristics of the standard Criollo model (ideal).

The CRZVD is affiliated with the National Breeders Association of special breeds in Bavaria. This second association is responsable for many official aspects of horse breeding: inscription of mares, branding of the foals. It organizes and supervises demanding skills tests for colts and fillies.

The CRZVD organizes expositions and events dedicated to Criollo horses. The members of the association present their horses in many catagories, including American horsemanship, and cattle work. Nature outings are also organized several times a year. This last activity suits the Criollo horse amazingly well.
