This branch imports, directly from Argentina,
hundreds of Criollo horses that come by sea in more or less good
condition. They are many times rejected horses; we can find the
best and the worst.
They are usually between 8 and 16 years old
when we usually find them with the horse traders. However, the
Criollo horse has a life expectancy of 40 years. It' also important
to say that all the stallions stay in Argentina, a protectionist
measure.
So before deciding to buy one of these mares
or geldings, one must consult expert horse-shoers and veterinarians.
In many cases the animal suffers from emphezema, and of course
one must take special care to inspect the conditions of the horse's
tendons and joints.

For the trip, a transfer document
is established for each horse exported from Argentina upon its
arrival in Italy. Two profile pictures permit its identification.
The document includes the result of the Coggins test and the stamps
of the different authorities. This magnificent Criollo Horse,
number 145, entered Italy on April 12th, 2000.
