Here you move with the typical criollos
from Chile through canyons, endless plains and over passes
of the untouched Andes. You will see where the criollos come
from and meet Chilean mountain farmers in the saddle, and
experience untouched nature. The Hacienda Los Andes
is located in the Rio Hurtado Valley surrounded by
the colorful Andes. The river rushes through the valley for
ages. In this valley the Inca introduced the irrigation technology
which is the digging of irrigation channels down the valley.
310 days sunshine per year and a cristal clear sky are a great
mix.

This Andean region, called
Chile Chico, is situated only 500 kilometres north
of Santiago. Planes from Santiago land in La Serena - a just
50 minutes flight - (health and seaside resort at the Pacific)
three times every day. Visitors from distant countries hardly
know this region. Nevertheless, the term Pisco is well
known, which is a colourless and natural brandy extracted
from the grapes of the local sunny vineyards. When autumn
and winter starts on the northern hemisphere (like USA and
Europe), holiday season which is from October to May begins
here in Chile in his mild and dry climate. The blue Pacific
with its hidden fishing villages and little villages in the
wild Andes is part of this region as well as lonely valleys,
endless mountain trails, and the peace and quiet of the Andes
over which condors fly.
